Sound Central was formed in February 2007 to inspire singing in the community. We are funded by Music Zone and perform at a variety of venues.

We are a non audition choir who rehearse once a week at the Wirral Schools Music Service, Thomas Paxton building, Claughton Village, Birkenhead. We have, to date, around seventy members ranging in ages from 18 to 70 and our repertoire is light and fun.
The choir is run by two Wirral teachers, Chris Watson and Dave Semans who are both active musicians involved in a variety of music making projects.

We have had work commissioned for us by Tindale Thomas and Urban Voice as well as performing with local school choirs, Wirral Schools Big Band, and a variety of musicians. We are in the process of recording our first CD.

Frosty The Snowman Returns: Family Christmas Concerts Sound Central Community Choir return to the Philharmonic Hall as part of the RLPO Christmas Celebrations. We will rehearse with the RLPO and the children on Friday 19th at the Phil at 4:00pm Saturday 20 December Concerts 11:30 and 14:30 Sunday 21 December Concert 14:30 Details regarding tickets etc will follow .  The Philharmonic Hall, Liverpool 11.30am - 2.30pm
