It was a wide and varied program in wich there were song from shows, pop hits, classics and even the Dolly Parton mega hit Joeleen. The LPCC were accompainied by string players and a drummer from the RLPO as too were the Kensington Community Choir. SCCC were supported by members of the Wirral Schools Big Band (+ a few guests) an gave excellent perfomances of Tears in Heaven, Over the Rainbow and I Dreamed a Dream. Abley conducted by Chris the choir sang with energy, focus and conviction every member giving 100%. On this occassion Dave blew the dust from his trombone and played with the band (a rare treat for him and the band!).
The choir had a blast, singing at the Phil, the band were very professional adding a great deal to the overall performance and the audience seemed to really enjoy what the choir presented. It was a great night of entertainment with some high quality performances. At the end of the show, all the choirs got together and did a mass rendition of Happy Ending by Mika. |
