We had a great time singing at the Phil for the family concerts. The three choirs were fantastic, all singing their hearts out. The hall was packed with hundreds of families singing and getting into the Christmas spirit .... It was a brilliant experience singing with the world famous RLPO and the wonderful Ian MacMillan.
The first concert on Saturday was recorded LIVE and then copied onto CD and sold at the end of the concert .... that was scary ... our first live recording ... it was a really good sound and a great memento of a great weekend setting us all up for Christmas.
On the other end of the scale we had a lovely small gathering at the walled garden in Liscard which was great fun and a relaxed concertet (I dont think that's a word really). the weather was lovely and so to was the after show wine and nibbles at a beautiful venue which I cannot disclose for fear of the hosts being inundated with casual callers for light refreshment and good company!
Although we had a lovely festive season it will be nice to get back to singing our music and building the repertoire. We will keep the Frodty set in our hearts, heads and folders ... who knows we may be called upon to perform it again next year ! |
